1. Define the decision before dosing
State the primary objective—throughput, kWh/t, fineness, residue, handling or strength—and the quality limits that must remain equivalent. Define the measurement boundary for electrical energy.
2. Record a stable untreated baseline

3. Calibrate dosing
Confirm the product grade, current density and pump/feeder calibration. For liquid product, verify actual collected mass or volume over a timed interval. Use the dosage calculator to translate g/t into kg/h.
4. Run controlled dosage steps
- Change only the grinding-aid dosage unless the test plan explicitly requires another variable.
- Allow sufficient residence and circuit-stabilization time.
- Record continuous process data and time-match cement samples.
- Do not accept higher t/h if fineness, residue or strength falls outside the agreed limit.
- Check for overdosing symptoms and dosing-line stability.
5. Compare economics without double counting
Calculate chemical cost, measured energy benefit and any genuinely saleable extra output separately. Do not count a throughput increase as revenue unless the plant can sell the additional cement and has no downstream constraint.
