Formulation boundary

TEA can influence cement hydration as well as grinding behavior. An unsuitable amount may affect setting or strength development. Selection therefore requires controlled mortar testing and review of clinker chemistry, sulfate balance and other formulation ingredients.

Safety-document release gate

A downloadable SDS should be the current supplier-approved, product-specific 16-section version. It should identify the supplier, product or grade, emergency contact, composition or disclosure range, GHS classification, transport information, revision date and approval information.

Formulation control

Review the complete blend, clinker chemistry, sulfate balance and target cement performance. Do not infer finished-product behavior from TEA identity alone.

Application control

Screen the formulation in mortar, then validate it in a controlled plant trial with calibrated dosing and defined acceptance criteria.

Procurement documents should name the actual TEA grade and supplier. A third-party SDS may explain general hazards but cannot serve as the shipment SDS.
